How to rock a popsicle pout

The preferred treat of the summer is hands down the popsicle, but who knew your cherry stained lips were on trend? As the heat intensifies so does the color, so it's no wonder bright lips are all over the fashion scene.

Start off with matte skin, add a good coat of mascara, a little bronzer on your cheekbones and a pretty-in-pink lipstick! Swoon.

Start off with a BB cream to cover up any acne and even out a skin tone. BB creams are wonderful because they give all the coverage as foundation but they feel lighter. Add mascara, a thin line of eyeliner on the upper lash line, coral blush and a tangerine lipstick.

Warning, this look is not for the faint of heart. Start with dewy (not oily) skin by using a product like NARS Sheer Glow Foundation for full coverage and a light glow. Next use an eyeliner pen to draw on fierce cat-eyes, paint your digits the darkest black you have and apply your red-hot lipstick.

Move over maxi, there's a new silhouette in town

Last summer was all about beachy, bohemian maxi skirts and dresses, but this year's taken a turn for the full-skirted fabulous. That's right, skater skirts.
Named after the frilly, full-skirted costumes ice skaters wear, skater skirts began appearing as early as '07 in the Missoni Fall 2007 runway show and the Proenza Schouler Spring 2008 show. Since then it's been everywhere from Forever 21 to Dolce & Gabbana.
The skater skirt is popular not only for its flattering shape that works on virtually every body type, but also because of its versatility. They can be easily dressed up or down and work in any wardrobe.
Anything in your closet can go with a skater skirt. Go classy casual with a button up chiffon shirt and a pair of flats, or urban chic with a graphic tee, a snapback and a pair of high tops.

Another great thing about these skirts is that they come in all colors and patterns. Are you a classic beauty? Get one in black. Vibrant chica? Brighten up the hallways in bright pink. Fantast fangirl? The galaxy print is strong with this one.
Remember how I said they work on everyone? Yeah, they do. Whether you're a curvy girl or a thin chick, skater skirts will look wonderful on you by accentuating your natural waist and flaring out to flatter your hips (or lack thereof).
Neon is still very on trend, so mixing bright hues and skater skirts is a winning combination.
Have no fear! The less adventurous can still rock this trend. Just add a button-up blouse and some cute flats and you're set! (Ps, how cute are those kitty flats?!)
Of course, Nordstrom has some fab choices as well.
